Privacy policy

The short version: Forma stores everything on your device only. There is no account, no server, no analytics, no advertising, and nothing is sent anywhere. Uninstalling the app deletes everything it holds.

What Forma stores

Everything you enter — competitions, entries, priorities, statuses, notes, and your profile (name, sports, home city) — is saved to a single JSON file inside the app's private storage on your device. This data:

Never leaves your device. Forma has no network code and makes no network requests. There is no server to send it to.
Is not backed up by Forma itself. If your device includes app data in its standard iCloud or iTunes/Finder backup, this file is backed up the same way any other app's local files are — that's Apple's device backup, not something Forma operates or has access to.
Is never shared with third parties, because there are no third parties in the picture — no analytics SDK, no crash reporter, no ad network.

What Forma does not do

No account or sign-in. Forma doesn't know who you are beyond the name you optionally type into your own profile.
No location access. Home city and event locations are looked up by name from a bundled list of coordinates, not from the device's GPS. Forma never requests location permission.
No notifications. Forma does not schedule or send any local or push notifications in this version.
No tracking, no analytics, no advertising. There is no code in the app that measures usage, fingerprints the device, or serves ads.
No HealthKit or health data access in this version.

The bundled race catalogue

Forma ships with a bundled list of race events (city, series, sport, typical month) used only to help you fill in your own calendar faster. Adding one from the catalogue copies its details into your own local entry — Forma does not report back which events you looked at or added.

Third-party services

Forma uses none. No analytics, crash reporting, advertising, or cloud storage SDKs are integrated into the app.

Children's privacy

Forma is a general-audience sports planning tool and does not knowingly collect data from anyone, including children, because it does not collect data from anyone — everything stays on-device as described above.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Forma adds sync, an account, or any other feature that changes what leaves your device, this policy will be updated first, and that update will describe exactly what changed and why.
